Riff Raff
Riff Raff is a character in the Rocky Horror Show and The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie, written by Hamilton-born Richard O’Brien. This replica statue is a cast bronze sculpture created by Weta Workshop, designed by Greg Broadmore, sculpted by Brigitte Wuest and engineered by Dave Irons.
The Riff Raff statue stands loud and proud on Hamilton’s main street, Victoria Street, on the site of The Embassy Theatre, the home of Hamilton’s ’Late Night Double Feature Picture Show’. It is also the site of the barber shop where Richard O’Brien cut hair and daydreamed from 1959 to 1964.
